Promoting Functional Recovery Following Stroke

Our laboratory is located in a large rehabilitation hospital, the Miller Centre, in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. This puts us in a unique position of recruiting participants that have recently gone through Stroke and are recovering in the hospital below us. As a result, much of our research has focused on improving functional recovery following Stroke and, more recently, tracking this recovery using electrophysiological and neuroimaging methods. We are part of a network of Canadian centres that work together to conduct clinical trials in stroke rehabilitation, known as the CanStroke Recovery Platform.

Current projects on Stroke: PRIML, Stroke Mapping, CANStim.
